2 UV Maps

For this train, I was supposed to be provided with countless photo reference, and a photogrammetry that was taken by the field team that came to where the train was stored. But because of the time needed to process the photogrammetry and because of the result that is not size accurate I did a bit of research of the dimensions such as height, length, and width. And in the process of researching I came to find out that it was based on the same/similar platform with EMD-G12

To start the project I used the image above as my initial reference for the train while also matching it to the actual dimension that I found from the internet.

After a while I got the processed photogrammetry for the train from another team member which I only used to accurately imitate the proportion that the train have. While the size is referenced from the internet and I recreated the small from the photos uses for the photogrammetry.

The image above was the result of the 3D model recreation, and for the texturing part, I split the whole body of the train into 2 UV maps to retain high quality even if the player get close to the train itself. I use high poly mesh in some part so that I can bake the normal map to the low poly mesh, this was done to reduce the poly count needed for the object while still having that little bit of extra detail on the train.

Made With

Personal Room

I got this project initially from my team leader to make a personal room for user with the retrofuturistic theme. After a few back and forth with my team leader the final blockout or the general layout is decided, and presented to the client next for approval.

After the layout is approved by the client, a concept artist from in my division create various color scheme for the personal room based on the render that I gave for approval previously.
